Perhaps you will use your last photo as your new header, with the new jeep.
Ill check your tour and see if we can fit it in this fall, it is so gorgeous out there.
The chick is so fragile but the pie is just inviting!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-338475515597614288.post-23592804558285405402016-06-01T20:17:49.424-07:002016-06-01T20:17:49.424-07:00Glad you broke the "rules" and got out f...Glad you broke the "rules" and got out for that beautiful tour of the lakes. And yay!!!! You're on the Gorge! I just made reservations for Memaloose in September -- we've stayed there before, and although it's between the train tracks and the highway (as you know!) it's still a sweet place. Cherries might be in season….there are some u-pick places close by. :-)) (That rhubarb pie is gorgeous!)Laurel (www.ravenandchickadee.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09133248112440273123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-338475515597614288.post-38769722396046562002016-06-01T12:23:45.714-07:002016-06-01T12:23:45.714-07:00We have done that drive in the opposite direction....We have done that drive in the opposite direction...but in the fall so no snow! Sometimes we have to be out with others. The lakes and the forest are spectacular. I love that the water in each lake was a little different in color. So pretty! Perfect autohike:) The snowcapped mountains sure do add a beautiful background. We skipped hiking in Provo Canyon because of the huge crowds.

Great drive and your new site is so green...just for my friends:)

Beautiful pie, Sue! Can't wait to hear how the frozen rhubarb is.John and Pam (ohtheplacestheygo.wordpress.com)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10853924678665624403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-338475515597614288.post-4784922857509824712016-06-01T07:32:16.484-07:002016-06-01T07:32:16.484-07:00I love that drive in the Cascades. Let me know how you like Melamose though - on my list of possible stops to stay at (although Boardman is hard to beat).MTWagginhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17823827748782425907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-338475515597614288.post-14012207394077350582016-06-01T07:18:33.243-07:002016-06-01T07:18:33.243-07:00I think you managed to see a lot of beauty and pre...I think you managed to see a lot of beauty and pretty much avoid the crowds. And a bald eagle sighting too!! Not that the little pecker isn't cute too :-) I really love the pics of the lava flow meeting the snow banks. That pie looks perfect, bet it tastes that way too. Enjoy that lovely spot in Memaloose. The pups must be loving all the grass you're finding for them :-).Jodee Gravelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02247098923871155546noreply@blogger.com
