First day of our new trip

We're off!   The first day of our 2013 trip south coinsided with Cindy and Walter's first trip ever with their  Sunnybrook fifth wheel so today promised to be a good one for all of us.  We finished closing up the house and met them at Dunkin Donut around 8 a.m. for a celebratory coffee and donut before heading south on route 390 towards Harrisburg, PA.

It rained hard overnight so the ground was sodden.  As a result,  we drove in and out of   heavy fog  for many miles.    Matters not, we were happy to be on the road again.

We knew the sky was clear and the sun was shining above us, so we just kept on til we broke out into a beautiful fall day.   Sunny B followed Beluga, then Beluga followed the Sunny B - on and on we drove into Pennsylvania Dutch Country heading for Lebanon.

a leveling primer....
We pulled into the Pennsylvania Dutch Country Campground in Manheim, PA. around 2:30, unhooked and all piled into our jeep to check out possible sites.   We had a reservation, but no specific site so we drove around and around looking for two perfect spots.     Mission accomplished.  We're across from each other, us with a 50 amp site and them with a 30,  but both nestled into the fall leaves and away from any possible halloween foolishness.    This campground closes for the season on Sunday, the day we leave.    Sunny B will head home, Beluga will continue south.

After we all settled in and took care of our wonderful, patient dogs, we met under our awning (it was warm and drizzly) for cocktails and some much needed relaxation while Ham Tetrazzini bubbled merrily in the oven.

Its early to bed for all of us tonight.   Tomorrow will be busy - its Martin's Carriage Auction Day!
