Jesse snuck out very early this morning to buy his mother this lovely orchid. He knows that I'm fairly sensitive to getting Birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper....a carry over from my childhood birthdays so near to the red and green holiday.....The flower lady was very agreeable to removing any trace of Christmas ornamentation from this particular orchid and even dug around in her supplies for some non-holidayish lavender tissue paper to surround it. Do I sound like a spoiled brat? Do I have a wonderful son?
I spent my day doing exactly as I please, in other words, a regular day for me....How did I get so lucky.
We all took a nice walk down the beach, ate lunch outside watching the sea birds and the crashing waves, took a little snooze, worked on the shell puzzle on the coffee table, had cocktails at sunset and went to a favorite french restaurant for a stellar dinner. How did I get so lucky?
