Monday

I had a lovely, relaxing Mother's day.   Jesse made a special dinner, Erin made a special dessert and I came home with left overs and a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers, tulips.   What more could a girl ask for?   And to top the day off, we saw neither rain nor snow!    Again I ask, what more could a girl ask for....

Sun! We had sunshine on our faces all day today -  I'm giddy!    I finally feel like I'm here.  After lunch we just got in the car and explored, driving along the base of the mountains past lush green pastures north on route 93.    We bumbled about in Lyons (where THE wedding will take place in September) until we found the Riverbend venue.    It is absolutely beautiful, large green lawns, the river rioting along beneath a dramatic escarpment, white tent with flags flying....I'm excited.

I wish I could show you pictures, I did take a few.     The word on my lap top is that the hard drive is toast...a new one has been ordered.   In the meantime I'm trying to convince google and apple to make nice nice and allow me to put some images on the blog instead of just all this boring talk!

Yes, the sun was out here today, also! Wasn't it just so exciting!! Let's hope it stays around for awhile.

  2. We only got tiny bits of sun in Co Springs....but at least NO rain/snow (after we woke up to snow, of course)!

  3. Sounds like a lovely Mothers Day with a big sunny bonus :-) Looks like our trip to Tahoe is going to look like CO this week. Expecting snow and thunder storms the whole time we're there - rethinking our travels up Hwy 395 :-(

  4. Can you use dropbox on the apple device? That's how I get photos off my samsung. It's a really simple file copy in and out. Glad your weather is improving.
