Monday - Miss Kim is freezing

The snow arrived, just as predicted.   Its about 6 p.m. on Monday and we're still waiting to be plowed out.   There is about 16 inches of fluffy white stuff in the driveway, who knows about the cottage's driveway.

We spent the day inside at the farm,  taking things down, emptying drawers, shelves, packing boxes and making care packages for Good Will.   Upstairs is now in good shape, that is to say, is organized, boxed and labeled.   Clothes are boxed up ready to go.       Tomorrow we tackle downstairs.

Our "Miss Kim" lilac is freeing today......

Here she is in happier days this spring

  1. The snow is gorgeous! I always love looking outside right after a big snow before anyone or thing has time to mar the beauty. But it sure looks cold! Poor Miss Kim!!

  2. Love the winter spring contrasting picture though right now it's hard to wrap my mind around how very sweet Mother Nature can be in the springtime. How many more weeks of winter??

  4. That is a Lot of snow! Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy for a few days :-) I've read that Lilac blooms best after a good frost? If so, Kim should be radiant come Spring!

  5. The best motivation I have for getting in house chores done is snow/cold or rainy gray days! Sounds like you made the best of it!
