I've no pictures to show you and nothing to really say. We've just been driving. Driving through Nevada on I-80. Those of you who've done this route a few times know what I mean.
Susanville, CA, to Fernley, NV to Elko, NV (where we are tonight) then Salt Lake City. Pull into the RV park fairly early, don't unhook, happy hour, feed and walk sweet Lewis, eat dinner, play a little ball with him, go to bed. Repeat.
We'll be in Salt Lake City for a few days to regroup and restock, visit friends and then move to Vernal, Utah for a week to see what we can of the Flaming Gorge and perhaps Dinosaur National Monument.
See.....boring.
When you get to Vernal, UT I highly recommend taking the scenic drive over to the Jones Hole fish hatchery and take the easy trail down to the green river. Here is a blog post about our stay there last year. It was pretty epic. http://metamorphosisroad.blogspot.com/2015/09/a-fantastic-first-stop-in-utah-vernal.html Hans
ReplyDeleteAhhh travel days...a necessary evil...well maybe not evil, especially if the scenery is good!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have something to look at you move besides corn, soybeans, and flat!! Soooo very boring! Safe travels!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes those "re-positioning" days are going to happen. As Pam said, at least it's not endless corn and beans! Hope you find cooler temps as well.
ReplyDeleteUneventful travel days can be a very good thing. But I wish I had known you were traveling through Wells and had told you about Angel Creek.....
ReplyDeleteI don't think you will be bored in Vernal or the Flaming Gorge. After checking out the dinosaurs be sure to take the scenic drive as well and buy that guide book to help you with what you are viewing.
