We packed up early this afternoon and, after a nice conversation with our next door neighbors, we set off on our short drive to Emigrant Lake County Park in Ashland, Oregon. People in Oregon are so friendly. These folks wanted to say that they noticed we were from a long ways away and that they hoped we enjoyed our time in their beautiful state. Yes, we most certainly have!

my view from today's drive - Beluga and Mt McLoughlin |
We checked into our site (RV10) overlooking the lake and haven't done much since. A walk down to the water (it is lower than usual) and around the park, back for happy hour and left overs and that's about it for the night.

That's a cool reflection shot from the truck! Beautiful sunset, I have not seen a sunset for so many months now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot!
ReplyDeleteNice to have another water spot. That is a wonderful site. Hope Lewis is able to get some more water time there! Lovely sunset, sort of reminds me of Piper's color :-)))
ReplyDeleteThe first time we stayed at Emigrant Lake I thought it might be low due to drought, but I've since learned that it fluctuates dramatically every year like this due to summer irrigation needs. I'd love to see it some year when it's full in the spring!
ReplyDeleteNeat shot of Beluga in the truck!
Love the Beluga in the "mirror!" Clever photo:) Definitely a nice view! Super that you got a spot here. We only drove through the town one year. Someday we'll come back to stay and check it out. Lew is going to love his water site:) Enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Ashland. :-) I'm looking forward to your adventures in our hometown. So glad you got a waterfront site at Emigrant Lake—such a lovely tangerine-gold sunset!
