Bernalillo, NM

We left Moriarity, NM this morning, heading for our next stop in Bernalillo, NM.
The weather guessers are all over the place as to when/where the remnants of Sergio will show up and since there is nothing we can do about it we drove along with positive thoughts.   Perhaps that would help.

 sucker hole.......

We arrived at the Bernalillo KOA park in bright sunshine.   Positive thoughts do help!    NOT

hard to step out our door right now!

Shortly after lunch the sunshine faded away and Sergio arrived!   Our site and the ones we can see around us are under water.     It's raining hard and thundering loudly.

It's hard to type this post because the large black dog jammed between my knees is shaking wildly and compromising my typing accuracy.

Evidently he's heard that one must position oneself in a hallway or interior room in a hurricane.   I tried to tell him that this is just the left over moisture from one, not an actual hurricane, but he isn't able listen.   Poor baby.

  1. I feel your pain! Sergio hit San Diego with lightening sufficient to create a weather delay of nearly an hour, the Aztecs prevailed over the visiting Air Force 21-17. But WHOOT, it also brought nearly an inch of desperately need rain. It was pretty short lived here, hope things dry out for you quickly,

  2. Boy, not fun looking at all that rain. We missed it by 60 miles. We could see the remnants of Sergio spinning just below us but never came any further north than Bullhead City. We did get some dark clouds in the first half of the day but stayed dry. Poor baby Lew definitely didn't need the thunder to accompany the rain. The rain seems to be following. Sure hope you see the sun real soon!! Enjoy visiting with Steve and ML!!

  3. Sorry to hear about your rain and thunder today! We did not get it in Farmington! But tomorrow will be another day, a cold day to boot with freeze warning.

  4. Glad you didn't have to drive and set up in that rain - but it sure made an island of your site! I've become an expert at tracking hurricane remnants now. Not something I signed up for! Looks like you may finally have some sunshine ahead. Poor Lew. He needs some headphones with soothing music :-))

  5. Oh no....I've been so focused on helping my folks get through the aftermath of Hurricane Michael that I wasn't following Sergio at all!! What a crazy storm season. That is a HUGE amount of water outside your door! Poor Lew and the thunder. Hoping there will be sunshine and clear skies just around the corner for you.
