Sunday

The front passed in the night and all that was left of the bad weather were the few straggling clouds moving away, leaving us with beautiful blue skies.   After our coffees, we walked all around the campground, following the river.  The color of the water here is shockingly blue.  Previously, the river has only allowed us to see its muddy side.

what a view
As I have said, our internet coverage (and cell coverage for that matter) here is very spotty at best.  As a matter of fact, my phone picks up Pacific Standard Time, across the river from California, and Dave's tells us its an hour later (Arizona or Mountain Standard Time), so we're really turned around.

After lunch we decided to look for the infamous Desert Bar in Parker.  We drove about 25 minutes down a very primitive, dirt and mud track, past nothing but wilderness (and a few interesting folks) to finally end at a happening place.   Since I'm not sure even these few pictures will post, I'll keep the rest of our visit to the Desert Bar for tomorrow when we can camp out at a Starbucks or McDonalds and get a good strong signal.

Beginning of the day and end of day.  You'll have to wait for the middle....
