Monday in Salt Lake City

Finally we fitted Beluga with some new "shades".  When we're parked at a site, the hot western sun streaming in through the windshield  is almost more than the air conditioners can handle.  The rest of our windows are tinted and we have two levels of shades to pull down against the heat, but the windshield has no protection and the curtain just wasn't doing much to keep the heat out, so...

We put this reflective material behind the curtain, next to the glass and it drastically changes the inside temperature.  The things you learn!

the view of downtown Salt Lake City from our site.  the Temple is on the left of this picture.

Beluga is parked with the high rollers....our neighbor will set you back a mere $900,000  +

Jack and Marilyn Avery
We had lunch at Jack and Marilyn's lovely home today.  It was good beginning to catch up with them, its been a long time since we've seen each other.  Later Jack served up perfect gin and tonics and Marilyn made a delicious meal of chicken cacciatore, salad and lemon gellato.  We worked on some  plans for the next couple of days.  Too many things to do!  While  Dave and Jack  play golf in the morning, Marilyn and I are going to check out the new "downtown" in Salt Lake. There is an interesting exhibit for us all to visit  in the afternoon, if the timing works out.  Fingers crossed.
