Rain

It wasn't supposed to rain.  It least it was warmer today, but second cup outside didn't happen because of a dreary drizzle.

Luckily, the precipitation stopped by lunchtime because I had an appointment with Mr. David's Mobile Grooming Salon for 2 p.m. and he really likes to work al fresco.   He set up and within 45 minutes I could see the poodle's eyes once again.  A miracle worker.

Mr. David also brought along his most trusted electrician for a short consult with Vic after the poodle mowing.

Dave and I went to the Beach Vet Clinic about 3 p.m. for a visit with Sasha.   She was very happy to see us and couldn't wait to get outside for a walk (think  - "I gotta GO bad!!!!)   She looks good and the drain is doing its job nicely.   It doesn't seem to bother her one bit, and we were surprised to see that she wasn't wearing a "donut" or elizabethan collar.   No pictures, I was so excited to see her I left my camera in the car.   Dr. Holland says we can collect her for good tomorrow afternoon - YES!     Lewis glued his nose to our legs and hands when we returned to Beluga.   He recognized that smell - his Sasha Marie...

After cocktails outside I tried a new pasta recipe for dinner  - Dave loved it, me, not so much.   Of course, it made enough for a cast of thousands.   I was all for tossing the rest out, but Dave handed me a big pyrex bowl.  I guess we'll have leftovers.

Thats all for now.

  1. That is wonderful, wonderful news about Sasha coming home! Fantastic!!!!!!!!!

too bad about the dinner ....and the pyrex bowl. Maybe you can have two gin and tonics to wash it down with. The way you make drinks that surely ought to help.

I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow afternoon! Good luck.

  2. I am so glad Sasha will be returning to the pack tomorrow. Our biggest pup Wrecks was bitten by a water moccasin. He almost died. He spent 6 days at Auburn...4 of those in ICU. We all missed him like crazy!

    Good luck with the leftovers...

  3. Glad to hear Sasha is doing well. I can't imagine leaving her there. She must be very confused.

This weather is really the pits! I can't believe how many cloudy days we are having.

Enjoy getting Sasha this afternoon. Lewis is going to be so happy, as will mom and dad:)
