El Centro

We left Borrego Springs this morning and drove about 70 miles to our next stop, El Centro, California.   We're here to take a farm tour tomorrow morning.    We're staying at Rio Bend RV and Golf Resort and the back of our site faces the desert bordering NAF El Centro.    It's a little noisy, but one of us is in his glory with the Blue Angels making low passes overhead during practice.    When they aren't doing fly overs, the Osprey are thrumming past.    Dave's idea of heaven.

The weather during our last days in Borrego Springs went from pouring rain, to beautiful rainbows to clear blue skies and everything in between.  

We stayed inside and baked, read and kept busy during the rainy times,  but sometimes we all wished it would just stop!

I wish I could go out and play......

On Monday morning we got a break in the weather so Dave was able to play a wonderful round of golf, one of his best.

Yesterday we met Steve and MonaLiza for breakfast/lunch at the Red Ocotillo (a surprisingly delicious restaurant in a building that once housed a French restaurant/antique shop) before heading out for a few more adventures in the desert.

I'll tell you about that later, the internet is very very slow tonight and I'm ready for bed!
