With a few more days here stretching before us, we didn't feel pressure to "see" everything. We enjoyed our usual relaxing morning outside. We talked about our next few stops and the route we'll take east.
After lunch Mr. David's Mobile Grooming Salon stopped by to clip the poodle's furry face. He opted to do his work inside Beluga today instead of setting up outdoors as is his habit. He didn't think that curly black fluff blowing around in the pristine landscaping was proper.
Later on we decided to do a wee bit of sight seeing. We drove over the bridge to find the local dog park with riparian feature, but we didn't find it to our liking. Next we followed the road about 7 miles to the Kerr Dam overlook. We parked the jeep and took a steep staircase down, down the cliff wall to a spectacular overlook. At least Dave told me it was spectacular. As the stairs became steeper and the foliage became thinner, the views started to make me dizzy so I waited for him at a landing, 3/4 of the way down. A sign told us there were 352 steps to the overlook, so down and back 704, whew!

bridge between Flathead Lake and the Flathead River. There is a nice swimming area below it, perhaps we'll take a dip tomorrow. |
