Quince is a cool little New Mexican restaurant with quite a following. We gave our name at the door then stood outside in the cold wind, walked around a bit, visited a great gallery/shop, walked around a bit more, stood outside in the cold and finally got a table . People coming out told us it was worth the wait, and....it was. We each had a different margarita and a different entree.
Jerome is an interesting town in the vein of Bisbee, being an old mining town built onto and into the surrounding mountains. Like Bisbee, it has reinvented itself into an artsy, touristy town with quirky houses and buildings clinging to the hillsides (some hanging on more firmly than others).
We all thought that Bisbee was a more "real" town, a more lived in place than Jerome. We'll check it out more later this week. Tomorrow we move Beluga a few miles up the road to Dead Horse Ranch State Park for the weekend and Nina and Paul will move on to Utah.
When we got back to Beluga we found we were exhausted from all that eating so we listened to our bodies and took a nice long nap.
Nina, Paul and Polly came over for one last cocktail hour and squeaky toy session. It was too cold and windy (again) to sit outside. We'll miss this place and the great company.

Great last night with friends!
ReplyDeleteTravel safely!
Wow ...great pictures of those mountains. Loved the "sunbeam" one! I chuckled to myself because the "windshield" one reminded me of a chocolate chip cookie!
ReplyDeleteLove margaritas of any flavor.
