Monday - still here

We were set to leave Carson City this morning, but when we checked the weather for our route, we discovered a high wind warning had been issued for north eastern California - just where we were heading.  Thirty five MPH with gusts at 45 - 55 MPH.  No thank you, says Dave.    We've driven too many miles fighting the wind, so we decided to just stay put until tomorrow.  We have a nice site here with all the services needed so we took the day to catch up on some mundane housekeeping stuff.

But first, we took advantage of the relative calm of the morning hours.  Second cup outside with our sweet friends.

As I said, we have a nice quiet site.  No one on one side, a quiet older woman on the other and a storage area for motorhomes across from us.  Not such a pretty view, but no one around and that is just how we like it.  No people around, but we're not really "alone".  Noisy Western Jays trying to steal house wrens eggs, birds busily building nests in the air conditioner units of the stored vehicles in front of us, and plenty of ground squirrels and chipmunks racing out from under the rv's.     Keeps the dogs very interested.....

We had a visit from Mr. David's mobile hair salon and poodle grooming service.  He does such a good job and is very inexpensive.   This time he brought along his other company - Mr. David's cleaning service.  He's very trustworthy, and leaves Beluga sparkling clean.   A real delight to work with.

sometimes Sasha becomes embarrassed by Mr. David's effusive affection, but would never hurt his feelings by telling him so.
