Driving day

Sorry, no pictures today.   We spent 6 hours driving west on I-10 through Florida's panhandle, you all know what that looks like (think any other interstate highway in the country).    Most of the day was under overcast skies punctuated by  a few minutes, every few minutes, of intense downpour.    The front that brought such terrible weather to the mid west and the tornado belt seems to be east of us now, and that's a good thing.    We're at Eagle's Landing RV Resort,  just east of Pensacola, for the night.    It is a great place for an overnight.    Big pull through sites,  quiet neighbors, good electric, inexpensive rates, easy access to tomorrows route west and plenty of green space to let the dogs stretch their legs.

Oh, and our TV antenna picks up the Masters Golf Tournament so my driver is happy.

  3. Even through the rain I'm sure it feels great to be heading "this way". And yes, a happy driver is a key component to happy travels :-))))

  4. That's a long driving day! I don't think we've ever done longer than 4.5 hours...and that feels plenty long enough for me and especially Rosie. I think dogs are much better travelers than cats!
