Lewis said goodbye to his next door friend, Hank, and we left Borrego Springs on Friday afternoon. His Gramma Pamma and John left early that morning also.

We drove partway to our next destination that day and stopped for the night in Gila Bend, Arizona.
We're now settled in Tucson for the next month. We'll divide our time here between the Tucson KOA and Catalina State Park. We pulled into our site at the KOA on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed Happy Hour under the fragrant lemon tree.
I wish you could smell these lemons! |
It's pretty much been raining ever since. We don't really mind too much because we've been here many times before and we've planned to do a number of small jobs while we're "in the city". We'll take time and enjoy ourselves and the beautiful scenery in a few weeks when we move up to Catalina State Park.
Lew always enjoys the rainy mornings because it usually means Dave spends more leisurely time at the laptop. Years of having one dog or another at his feet has taught Dave to type with only one hand, leaving the other free to provide pets and scratches......and that makes our Lewis a happy boy.
Lew takes full advantage of that hand..... |
Glad my sweet boy is getting lots of attention:) Enjoy your HH under the lemon tree. Hope the weather returns to sunshine and warmth real soon. No shorts for now!
ReplyDeleteHe has the sweetest expression 😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteMy dad's lemon tree is fully loaded with ripe lemons, it must smell just like your lovely tree! I wish I could blink my eyes and be in San Diego to get some of them!
ReplyDeleteWe consumed an embarrassing amount of oranges and grapefruit while we were at that KOA. It really is one of the nicest "perks" we've seen at a campground! And we, too, are quite familiar with the trained skill of typing with one hand while petting the dog with the other. Actually, recently, he's taken to enjoying us holding onto one end of his Nylabone while he chews the other end. Ridiculous.... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Lew needs those extra scratches to get over leaving Gramma Pamma after a month! Love that lemon tree - I can almost smell it :-))) We've had so much rain since we got back to SoCal!
ReplyDeleteOh fun, back in Tucson! Rainy days are always good motivation for getting caught up on "stuff." Lewis looks mighty content!
ReplyDeleteFor once you got the rainy days, but you are in AZ. Soon you will smell the desert rain and the happy saguaro will be in bloom when we get there at spring time. I am picturing in my head how packed KOA must be at this time of the year.
