Sunday at the lake

We slept late this morning.   Its dark down here in the deep woods, the sunlight only dapples the forest floor and doesn't signal us that is time to get up.    Who cares?      Dave says he feels "bloopy" today because he slept too long.    I say "bloopy" is just another name for torpor.    Its pretty chilly even in the patches of sun and you all know Dave isn't good at being cold.

Lewis is bloopy

Sasha is bloopy too
Since we slept the morning away we decided to take a brisk walk in the woods before lunch.  Such a beautiful place.   Before we leashed up the dogs, Dave and I walked down to the lake to see what kind of boats were at the marina and get a map of the area.

that is pollen all over the jeep's windshield, yep, this is Oregon in the spring.

this little girl made a pest of herself, she was sure we had food for her

sticks are almost as good as balls, so says Lewis

  1. How beautiful! The water seems to have livened up the dogs. Fresh water swimming is the best. Gee, I never have that feeling when I sleep in. I guess it is a talent to be a good sleeper inner!!! I am an expert!

You found a trillium! How pretty!

    Enjoy your forest location:)

  2. Dave probably has never slept in late ....those tricky Oregon forests! Better get him back to NY soon where daylight is now shining through earlier and earlier. We had the most beautiful display of showy lilacs this year...perfect weather for them. Downtown Geneseo on Center Street was just sparkling...almost an ephemeral appearance this year. We made it to 80 yesterday. Planting my little garden this week. Looking forward to my neighbors returning soon!
