Good bye Georgia, Hello Florida!

We left Skidaway Island State Park this morning and arrived at North Beach Camp Resort on Vilano Beach  about 4 p.m.  Vilano Beach is a spit north of St. Augustine on the east coast of Florida.  We've been here before and always enjoy our time.  The campground is a private one, expensive and more people about, but the sites are nice, secluded, and the best part is the ocean is right across the street!

Dogs are allowed on this beach, unusual for Florida.  Its the first time we'll be here without our sweet Rose and I'm feeling a little blue. How she loved the beach...  The shore birds, however, will  breathe a sigh of relief.

We set up quickly (we're pros at this by now) and settled down to relax and beach it for the next two weeks.  Thats all for now folks.....

The other plus about this campground is that it sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the intracoastal waterway.  On  both shores are knock-out restaurants within an easy stroll!  Not bad.

By the way, if you click on any picture, you should be able to make it bigger.  At least that is what is supposed to happen.

  1. Oh, loved the photo of Rose yet it brought quick tears ....such a happy girl and just not with us long enough. It's never long enough.

Hey, I clicked a photo and it did get larger. You're must be getting superior computing skills with all these postings and photo displays. Thanks! Enjoying the trip with you!
