It was that kind of day

One of the reasons we chose this campground was for Dave to be able to make a business call in nearby Greer, SC.  This is a private park with all the amenities we want at this point in our trip.  Our site is quite pretty, although fairly exposed but the place isn't very busy so we're happy.

The face to face business Dave wanted to do didn't pan out, but he did spend quite a bit of time on the phone with the man he wanted to see, so all wasn't lost.

Being here in the middle of the day enabled us to have a FaceTime call with our dear friends, the Hollings.  They live Doncaster, UK and we don't get to see them nearly enough.  Dave and I look forward to a good visit with Richard and Ruth when they vacation on Longboat Key in a few weeks.

We spent the rest of the day catching up on things we needed to take care of......

If you're interested, I'm reading Travel's with Charlie, by John Steinbeck.  Its a wonderful read, quite relevant to us and the "Charlie" is a standard poodle!
