Thursday at the beach

Today, Thursday, we drove to Tybee Island in search of a beach.  We found one, but it isn't really our kind of beach.  It was crowded, and quite "honky tonk" but was very wide so walking in the surf was easy without having to dodge too many frisbies and kites.

What we liked about the beach, though was that it was right at the mouth of the Savannah River and we were able to watch many huge cargo ships heading from China (probably!) into the River and then up to the Port of Savannah.

We had a nice time, enjoyed the beautiful weather and sand between our toes again.  We headed home late in the afternoon and when we pulled into our site, this is what we saw in the windshield of Beluga....
can you see Sasha laying on the dashboard, waiting......
Sasha thanks Dave for carpeting the dashboard, makes her time there much more comfortable.

We finished up our day at a good local restaurant, big windows on the marsh and the incoming tide.   Low Country boil,  Mmmmm.

At the end of the day, its all feet.....

  1. Didn't have time to comment this am but this photo of the feet should be entered in photo and dog competition. You'd win 'hands' down!
