Today we drove to the Carolina Raptor Center Center, just  north of Charlotte, N.C.  It is a rehabilitation/education center for injured birds of prey.  The whole place is beautiful and the birds are well cared for and looked as content as raptors can be in captivity.   Each sanctuary had information on the specific birds it housed, why they were there, and what can be done to keep their habitat safe for the future.  Being a Monday, we were almost the only ones there, it made our experience much more personal.
