No pictures today. We drove to Asheboro NC for a business appointment then back to the campground for lunch. It was hot and humid but we sat outside and ate in the shade. Later in the afternoon we ran a few errands and then drove up to the lookout on Morrow Mountain.. It was a windy sun dappled road up but once we got there the views were somewhat hazy, rain is on its way. As I sit here writing, thunder is grumbling in the distance.
Tomorrow will be a short travel day to Flat Rock, NC (south of Asheville) and a private campground. That means it will be more expensive, more crowded and less peaceful. It is our choice because it is central to another business call, a dinner with friends and some beautiful drives in the mountains around Highlands, Brevard and Cashiers. I've heard there is a small cut glass museum in Highlands (you know how I love cut glass) and a waterfall you can drive behind. So I guess its a fair trade.
