Lazy Saturday

Our site here at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground is not  pretty, but it is very private with good power, water, lightning fast wifi and cable tv.  It will afford us a good  central point for exploring the Santa Fe area this coming week.  Once again, Dave shoe horned us into a space we both thought "iffy"...dirt surface and very narrow with a close neighbor on one side.   With a little judicious pruning of scrub bushes he was able to wiggle Beluga in and we set up our home.  Now that we've been here overnight I see site 108's good points.  Lots of bushes on one side and the back are home to some interesting birds.  A spotted towhee sang to us as we had our mid-morning tea/coffee outside.  A couple of hummingbirds shot by so I got out my feeder and made some fresh nectar, I hope they come back.  We have a good view of the sunsets and our neighbors seem to be either gone or stay inside, so our privacy in this busy campground is much appreciated.

I don't know whether the altitude (7700 feet above sea level) here or the lunchtime margarita has made us both very sleepy, but we decided to just go with it!  Lazy day in Santa Fe.

first margarita of the year!

  1. Aah ....the many, wonderful benefits of retirement! Good for you ...you both deserve this! Do you have to ask permission to cut their bushes before you back Beluga into your spot?
