Tuesday, we'll stay longer

Morning coffee conversation resulted in us deciding to stay here for a whole month.  The monthly rate can't be beat and we both realized how much we missed the desert.  We'll be here until December 5, can you believe I'm talking about December already?    It was in the high nineties today and will be there for only a few more days before the temperature drops to its more normal late fall highs in the 70's.    We drove around the area a bit today, even making it into downtown Palm Springs. A number of roads had signs warning us to beware of drifting sand in the road!!!!  Better than drifting snow, right?

So many good things to see and do for the next month.  We discovered a cool Air Museum, a Classic Car show later this month, Farmers/Art Market on Thursdays, and Lewis Black will be playing here at the end of November.   Not to mention the soothing hot mineral pools just waiting for us.   I think a month will go by quickly.

palm trees every where - can you spot the cell tower?

our little buddies, trying to stay in the shade

a static display outside the air museum - can't wait for a cloudy day so we can visit!

this family sculpture and palm shadow outside the Desert Sun bldg. caught my eye as we passed

I know there is a lot of controversy and politics involved in these wind farms, but I think they are beautiful to see

acres of windmills on the hills around the desert cities

the first blush of a desert sunset through our oleanders
