No pictures today, I didn't even take the camera out of its case. We checked out a local golf course to see if it would be a good place to play on Saturday, then had a knock-out lunch at a small restaurant (called the Flat Iron Grill, Judi) in Issaquah. We sat outside in the cool sun and I had a grilled portobello mushroom with grilled onion, goat cheese, arugula and quince jalepeno jam on a brioche roll with the hands down best fresh cut french fries we've ever eaten. I say "we" because Dave helped me by eating all the fried garlic cloves that were hidden amongst the potatoes. Wow, were they ever good. Dave had a cuban sandwich and he ate every last bite like I did. Maybe we'll have dinner there Sat. with Jesse.
After lunch we poked around the town a little and got some more detailed maps of Seattle. Tomorrow Jesse will come to our campground and then we'll all drive up to the Everett area and take a tour of the Boeing factory. We had originally made plans to meet Jess at the park n ride and leave his car there, but found out that I-90 will be closed in both directions right at the time we would have been going through. There is a huge festival in Seattle finishing this weekend and the Blue Angels will be practicing, necessitating the highway closures. At any rate, we're looking forward to seeing Jesse and I know we'll all enjoy our tour.
Thanks for all your anniversary wishes yesterday, it meant a lot.
Ahhh ...now, This is the PART you've been waiting months for!!!! Enjoy it. All our best to Jesse!
