Boring Couple Alert! We haven't been doing anything of consequence. Jesse is in the middle of a painful back "episode" so he's been working from home, standing up at his computer, ear buds connecting him to long distance meetings from his kitchen.

We're about half an hour's drive from Jesse and Erin's house, most of it on fairly busy streets but in the beginning we get to drive through the wide open spaces of this park. People are riding bikes or hiking along the paths, boating in the lake or riding horses through the high grassy meadows.
Yesterday Dave cut their small lawn (the first time he was behind a mower since the summer of 2014) while I washed our sheets in the huge new washer there. I took no pictures.
Today Dave and I drove up to Boulder on a few errands. We had a lovely lunch at Brasserie Ten Ten, one of our favorite restaurants, checked out the Boulder Elk's Lodge for future overnight sites, did a bit of window shopping on the Pearl Street Mall and picked up a dozen Empanadas from Rincon Argentina for future consumption. Mmmmmm
Tonight's pre-sunset was very odd, it looked like the clouds were being colored brown by a forest fire somewhere.
Sounds like your kind of day...a little of this and a little of that, throw in some beautiful country, sweet family and delicious food!
ReplyDeleteBut where's Lewis? Tell us some his tales!
Sorry to hear about Jesse's back. I know so well how tough it is getting the back to calm down...not fun! Sure hope all is well soon. Mowing, once and awhile, can be fun:) Helping our kids is always a pleasure no matter how old they are. Boulder is such a neat town. I'm with Cindy...where is my furry buddy?! I'm sure he needs a day out in the Jeep to play and we need a fix:) Not that we don't love the two of you, but you know who the star is...haha!
ReplyDeleteA nice day...not boring at all!
ReplyDeleteVery unique sunset - looks like an old Western movie. Nice to be settled in for a bit I'm sure, and mowing a lawn because you want to is always so much better! Snickers was my dark chestnut mare and every time I see a short, chocolate horse I miss her :-)
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy Chatfield and looks like a great spot. We never go to Boulder and need to add that since it really isn't too far.
ReplyDeleteLovely sunsets and morning clouds—peaceful days, not boring days. :-)) I can certainly empathize with Jesse's back episode. Hope it calms down soon.
