Thursday

The clouds on the horizon last night did portend a change in weather today.  Actually, in the middle of the night a ferocious wind roared around Beluga, shaking and rattling the bus, waking us all up.  Dave ran out and pulled in the window  awnings, knocked down our chairs and got back inside just before the wind brought a rainstorm.  The water works didn't stay too long, but the wind was with us until daybreak.

The morning dawned with broken clouds, but it was still warm.  We were happy to get our coffee outside once again.

After lunch Dave's Barber Shop opened for business and a line formed.  A black guy with an unruly fro waited patiently for his turn.

After we cleaned up the "shop", a fellow blogger (actually, a woman who's blog has given us much inspiration and practical information) stopped by with her sweet doggie, Polly.  Lewis and Polly have a "thing" for each other.  To be more precise, Lewis has a "thing" for Polly.  Polly is polite and young enough to enjoy a bit of a romp with a frenchman.   Lew really likes Nina also, when we take our walks and pass her motorhome (The Beast), he tries to make an unscheduled stop for an impromptu visit.    She and Polly and 2 cats are here at Sam's for a month also.  Her husband, Paul, has been called away on a family emergency, so she's enjoying the desert and hot springs solo for a bit.

this cloud bank stayed over the mountains all day long until....

  1. A line at the barber's?? I'll have to tell Bobbi about that.

How nice to run into a fellow blogger...can you send me her blogging site? I have to prepare for when you guys come home and there's no Beluga blog to read...whatever will I do??? I've enjoyed this so much.

Nina is very pretty ...looks like an Aussie from the head?

    Enjoy your day.
