Wednesday - hot mineral soak, Mmmmm

We're really liking it here at Sam's Spa.  We returned last nights DVD, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, and scraped plans to wash both dogs.  It was such a nice day we decided to just chuck it all and soak in the mineral pools, so thats what we did.  (the DVD befuddled us, we couldn't follow what was going on, what did you think Rob and Tom, I know you saw it in the movie theatres....)

We set up our chairs by the pool ( towels, camera, sunscreen, kindles) and dipped our toes into the water.
Too chilly for us, so we walked over to the hot water mineral pools.  Ah, the first one was just right.  (we felt like Goldilocks)  Eased ourselves down into the warm, pulsing water and stayed there for a few hours!  We were alone for part of the time and another couple (we talked to them last night on our evening walk) joined us for awhile.  Nice conversation, nice, warm water - a good way to spend a few hours.  Bad thing was that we had to walk from the soothing temperate mineral waters to our towels by the pool.  In this low humidity climate, we were cold by the time we got to the chairs, poolside.  Next time, we'll take our supplies with us when we go to the spa!
Dave warmed himself in the sun after soaking in the mineral pools

a close-up of one of the "folks" scattered around the property.  this guy was looking down at Dave as he warmed back up in the sun.   I told you this was a quirky 70's place!

here's the pony tail after a few hours in a mineral pool!!!!!

fuzzy sunset tonight.  low clouds on the horizon portend a change in the weather pattern.  we may need those hot pools in the next few days.

  1. Wow ...another picture of Sue!!! Thanks! Loved that quirky looking guy looking over the pool fence. Sounds like just the place to hang out for awhile and chill....

Enjoy, my friends! They say we're getting back to the 60's and maybe even one day in the 70's next week. We can always hope!
