I continue to marvel at the desert cloud formations |
Today started out with a little work....we hung up a hummingbird feeder to try and convince the little guys zooming overhead to stop and stay awhile. Then we hung up a regular seed feeder to lure the purple finches from the oleander bushes. They sing and sing for us and we wanted to reward their efforts. After a few different locations, we finally hit on just the right spots and the birds started coming immediately. Then we settled down for our morning coffees and enjoyed the avian air show. Small pleasures.
Thats about all the work we did today. We weren't strong enough to resist the siren song of the hot springs.
After our desert walk with the dogs, and after lunch, we suited up and drove over to the pool and spa. We drove over instead of walking because we discovered that we're way too weak and wiggly to walk far after soaking and jiggling in the lovely hot water. Don't weep for us.

a peeping tom - this black crowned night heron sat and watched us for the longest time |

Ahhhhhh..... |
Ahhh...indeed! Boy, that looks refreshing, comforting and relaxing. We're at 29degrees right now so it really looks good. I gotta suit up to do the horses...brrrr.
